Art in the age of artificial intelligence
We live in an era in which the boundaries of creativity are being redefined every day. Art is no longer solely the result of human inspiration; it is also the product of collaboration with technology. Artificial intelligence has begun to play an active role in the creative process, opening new pathways while also raising important questions.
As artists and creators explore these emerging possibilities, AI becomes not only a tool but also a catalyst for innovation, challenging traditional notions of authorship, originality, and artistic expression.
The future of art is not human versus machine. It is human together with the machine. And perhaps, therein lies the most fascinating form of creativity.
As a creator, I view artificial intelligence not as a threat, but as a tool. A tool that can enhance imagination, accelerate the generation of ideas, and lead to outcomes that might not otherwise be possible. From generative imagery to experimental projects, technology provides us with the opportunity to explore new forms of artistic expression. By expanding the creative process beyond traditional boundaries, AI enables artists to experiment, innovate, and discover unexpected visual and conceptual possibilities.
At the same time, however, a fundamental question arises: who is the creator? The human who conceives the idea, or the system that generates the result? In my view, the answer lies somewhere in between. Art remains inherently human because it begins with intention, emotion, and the need for expression. What is changing is not the essence of art, but the tools through which it is created. Just as photography once transformed the artistic landscape, and later digital technologies expanded its possibilities, artificial intelligence represents the next step in this ongoing evolution.
The future of art is not human versus machine. It is human and machine working together. And perhaps, within that collaboration lies the most compelling form of creativity.
